Update

We know the posts have been a little sparse. But we have been busy. I think from the page hits everyone else has been busy too. It is the busy time of the year.

+News about the Blog+ A bot has been posting comments under each of the posts. I have deleted them time and again, but he keeps coming back. It is soliciting online gambling, if you haven’t seen them. As a measure to stop it, you have to be a registered member to post comments. Check out the number of “comments posted” on the left side of the screen…close to 4000 yesterday. I hate bots, web spam, and forwards. Bleh.

+News about Christmas Coffee+ We are soo close to reaching our limit to carry coffee. So get your orders in fast. We can’t accept any orders placed after this coming Friday, December 17th. Thank you to every one who has placed an order. The 1 pounders to the 10 pounders, gracias.

+News about Us+ We made a short notice trip to the States about 2 weeks ago. My grandmother passed away the day after her 93rd birthday. We were flown home to be with my family and be there for the funeral. The funeral was a bittersweet occasion.

Havilah had an interview for a bilingual aid position in the Shelby county school system. She has a really good lead for a job there when our time in Guatemala in done. After all, she is the Spanish speaker of the two of us.

I made a 1300 mile “business trip” while we were home. I toured a coffee roaster production facility of the company we hope to buy a roaster from. My dad also had a trip in the area and met up with me to tour the facility and rode home with me. More about roasters later.

+News about the Harvest+ We have been hearing “How does the coffee go from cherry to green bean?” Finca Vega is harvesting now so pictures and details are coming. I could have explained before, but text with no pictures… nobody likes that.
